How To Get Shredded As Quickly As Possible

"Get Shredded As Quickly As Possibe"...The mantra of just about everyone three weeks before summer.  But as most people seem to forget year after year, it's easier said than done.  However, if you are truly committed to losing fat and building muscle as a quickly and efficiently as possible, there are a few strategies that can help you...

Nutrition: High Protein, Low Everything Else

You’ve probably heard this before…And if you’ve really doen your research, you’ve probably heard it disputed as well.  While it is true that our bodies require some amount of proteins, fats, and carbs, to function properly, and carbs aren’t necessarily stored as fat, upping the protein relative to other macronutrients is a great way to encourage more lean muscle and less fat. 

That’s a fact.  We can debate at what point you are consuming too much protein, but the reality is excess protein is the least likely to be converted into body fat so if you had to choose which macronutrient to load up, protein is the way to go.

Exercise: High Intensity, Minimal Bitching

If you want to burn fat and encourage muscle growth, you need to turn up the intensity of your workouts.  Engaging in high intensity training has been shown in study after study to burn considerably more fat than steady state exercise sessions of the same duration.

If you’re going to be in the gym anyway, you may as well just go really hard.  Then you can leave feeling like you actually achieved something, rather than just killed a bunch of time that probably could have been better spent elsewhere.

Unfortunately, a lot of people are unaware of just how little progress they’re making when they go to the gym.  Perhaps they “trust the process” a little too much.  If you never push yourself to lift more weight or do more reps, you won’t get anywhere.

Supplements

If getting as shredded as possible as quickly as possible is the goal, there are a couple supplements that can help.

Rauwolscine

Rauwolscine is hands down one of the most powerful fat-burning agents available.  It can greatly increase the amount of fat burned during your workouts, especially if you kick up the intensity. 

Caffeine

Caffeine can be useful for encouraging fat-loss, especially when stacked with something like Rauwolscine which can amplify it’s effects.  Caffeine consumption causes the release of Noradrenaline, a potent fat-burning hormone that is involved in the Fight or Flight response and can directly induce lipolysis. 

Synephrine

Synephrine functions sort of like the opposite of Rauwolscine.  It activates beta-receptors which directly induce lipolysis, whereas Rauwolscine essentially stops lipolysis from stopping once initiated.

Although they haven’t been studied together, theoretically these three supplements make a pretty effective fat-burning stack, each with a mechanism that compliments the others. 

The Bottom Line

If you want to get as shredded as possible pretty quickly, considering implementing one or all of the above strategies.  It’s important to understand that targeting fat does not necessarily mean you will lose weight. You must place your body in an caloric deficit (i.e. take in less calories than you burn) to lose weight.  However, the above tactic can be used to encourage fat-loss to a greater degree.
